Knowledge Center/FAQ
What varieties of pecans do you offer?
The majority of our orchard is made up of Western Schley hybrid pecan trees. Approximately ten percent of the orchard is Wichita pecan trees. We have two 'unidentified' pecan trees that we suspect are Burkett. (These make the best tasting pecans of all the trees in orchard.) There are also a few native pecan trees that lost their hybrid graft somewhere along the way. These natives are a thin shell nut and are good pecans. When you order a package from our store, the majority of the nuts will be Western Schley. Due to the extreme popularity of our Wichita pecans, we offer them as a seperate package, usually priced a bit higher.
